I bought this years ago and I remember the lovely French Vanilla scent. Refreshing, soft and calming. I can't wait to buy another one soon. The quality in Yankee Candles is UN-matchable!! I’ll start with the facts and save my feelings for the end.
When unlit, the candles have a lovely scent, just as you’d expect. However, once burned, the fragrance is almost nonexistent. I have no idea how this is possible, but despite my expectations, all four candles I received produced only a faint scent.
Because of this, I’m giving them a 1-star rating.
I was genuinely excited about these candles, so it’s really disappointing that they turned out to be such a letdown and a waste of money.

A nice base candle. I like strong scents so I’ll usually burn this with something a little more bold. It’s great on its own but it’s a little plain. True vanilla scent, not like a fake chemical scent.

Nice Vanilla pudding scent
Great Candle Nice Smell after having it for almost a month I get a few scents from it first it smells like vanilla pudding then a nice vanilla scent then now I am getting a cream cheese kind of smell which I don't like

Okay!!
I like the smell but it's not very strong. The yankee candles I bought recently compared to the ones I used from some years ago dont have near as much scent or throw as they used to. Plus they have gotten rid of some I liked.

Beautiful, happy scent
French Vanilla is a scent that has been around for so many years, and always seemed boring to me as a child and younger adult. However, now that I am nearing forty, it somehow magically is the best scent of all! This is my second purchase of this scent, and I really cannot get enough of the warmth, comfort and happiness it evokes every time I light it. The throw is immense, and our entire family comments on how good it smells throughout our (little 1440 sq. ft.) house. It isn't an over the top, strong, cloying smell, nor is it faint. It delivers just the right amount of delicious vanilla (at times almost chocolatey somehow) scent, helping us all to relax and rest when the day is done.

A solid, strong vanilla - not too sweet.
A very good scent. I held back one star only because I recall this being stronger back when Yankee called them 'Housewarmers'.
I've been buying this one for many years, so my memory might be tricking me a bit.
However, this one never disappoints & I'll keep buying it unless it gets weaker.

I used it for years, too. &nbsp;:(. At one time, they took it out of the stores and offered it only online ... but at least it was still available. &nbsp;Because it was so popular, they put it back in the stores. &nbsp;I went to place an order about three months ago (I buy 10 at a time) ... only to find out they were discontinued. &nbsp;What a complete disappointment.

Although milky notes smell like milk, in reality the actual nourishing substance isn't used. Milky notes are rendered through illusion, via other materials, such as vanilla or sandalwood very often (as in Santal Blanc by Serge Lutens). These materials naturally have a &quot;creamy&quot; facet, a smooth, sweetish quality about them which can be interpreted as &quot;milky&quot; in compositions.
