Description
To enjoy your candles to their fullest, a certain amount of care is required. Keeping their wicks trimmed properly will help your candles burn fully and last longer. Specifically, your candle's wick should be trimmed after every 4 hours of burn time. Let the candle come to room temperature, then trim the wick to 1/8-inch before relighting. That length helps create complete combustion, which means less soot is formed while the candle is burning. This is where our Perfect Wick Trimmer comes in - place the bottom of the trimmer flush with the candle surface, rock the trimmer back so that its "elbow" rests on the surface, this keeps the trimmer at a 45-degree angle and helps ensure the cut is to the proper length. Simple! Enjoy your candles and their fragrances, then repeat again after every 4 hours of burn time.

Love the Style
I can't wait to use this!!! When I bought it in a Yankee Candle store, I also bought a full size jar candle, and the worker in the store offered to trim the wick for me, which was super nice! However, I did not get to use the trimmer for it. I'll use it later. :-) It's super sleek though - can't wait to use it.

Great candle trimmer
I had been contemplating this trimmer for some time. Not sure what I was waiting for, it works wonderfully! Very heavy duty and easy to use. Sure beats using traditional scissors, especially when the candles wax is lower in the jar. I have Yankee Candles burning daily so this nifty piece will get a lot of use.

I finally broke down and bought myself one after all these years of burning candles when I caught an excellent sale on the website. Didn't feel I needed it when I have scissors✂️. Boy was I'm wrong. So much easier to use, trims your wicks so you don't get the black soot and definitely gives the candle more life. Slick wick

Should have bought this forever ago!
These work great. I finally decided to give up using scissors to trim my wicks. I assumed that a candle wick trimmer wasn't necessary, but I was wrong. This thing can fit into any nook and cranny, plus it prevents the trimmed piece from falling onto the candle itself.

Wish I had bought this sooner
Face it, a wick trimmer seems more like a want than a need. I probably would have gone all my life without one had I not received a defective candle and decided to accept this in exchange. Now that I have one, I feel like a ninny that I didn't get one sooner. The balance on this is really good. It will hang over the edge of a table or shelf ledge quite nicely without addition support. I will admit, I added some felt tabs to the shelf to help hold them in place because there's a lot of activity in this house, otherwise, they'd stay there happily. They will also stick to magnets. If you have a magnet strip that holds kitchen tools, they just barely fit. If you have a magnet strip that sticks out a little further, they will stick nicely. I have trouble discerning dark objects from dark backgrounds, so I was glad to try the pearlescent. They are a tad bit bright, but at least I can find them!

Looks good and works
I looked at the wick trimmer and saw that it was of good build quality, metal stout enough, good size, useable angle on the blade but The user of the Pearlescent Perfect Wick Trimmer said they it doesn't cut, rather it tears the wick, maybe attempting the cut on a different part of the blades would work who knows. In any case looks great, strong and the used wick comes off easy enough even if it does just tear it off,it does come off where you want it to and easily.
