This is my second Fade Fan Diffuser that has developed a buzzing sound. I have blown out the dust in the fan but it continues to make an aggravating buzzing sound. What else can I try - short of replacing it - again?

If your Yankee Candle Fade Fan ScentPlug&reg; Diffuser is still making a buzzing sound after you've blown out the dust, there are a few other things you can try to eliminate or reduce the noise: Ensure that the fan blades are not obstructed by any small particles or debris that may be difficult to see. Even small amounts of dust can cause vibrations that lead to noise. Over time, parts of the diffuser could become loose due to regular use, which can contribute to buzzing or rattling noises. Check for any loose screws or components, particularly around the fan housing, and tighten them if necessary. A buzzing sound can sometimes be caused by an issue with the power supply. If your diffuser is plugged into a power strip or extension cord, try plugging it directly into the wall to see if the noise persists. Additionally, try using a different outlet to rule out electrical interference. Sometimes the scent plug itself could be causing the noise if it's not seated correctly. Remove it, check for any debris or buildup, and reseat it. If the diffuser is sitting on a hard surface, the vibrations from the fan may be amplified. Try placing a soft cloth, rubber pad, or other vibration-dampening material under the base of the diffuser to see if it helps absorb the sound. If your scent plug diffuser is old, plan to change it. Mine did not come with a scent refill. It was just the fan plugin itself.

Hello! I'm sorry to hear you're having trouble with your diffuser. If you're not getting any scent from it, there could be a few things to check: 1- Scent Refill Placement: Ensure that the scent refill is properly inserted into the diffuser. It should be seated firmly in place. 2- Ventilation: Make sure that the diffuser is placed in an open area where the air can circulate freely around it. Obstructions could affect the scent distribution. 3- Fan Function: Confirm that the fan is operating correctly. If the fan is not blowing air efficiently, it might not disperse the scent as intended.
